Visiting Northumberland…

Off the beaten track .. ever fancied visiting Northumberland?

Northumberland is a very diverse county with vast stretches of golden sandy beaches punctuated with secluded rocky coves, the coastal plain reaches inland to Parkland Countryside. Probably where the local lad Capability Brown got his inspiration for his famous vistas which he recreated at stately homes all over England.

Heather Moors and gentle rolling hills transcribe into more rugged and breathtaking wilderness, The Cheviot Hills and sheltered valley’s of Coquetdale, people here are friendly and welcoming with a slower pace of life they enjoy taking time to chat with visitors. Northumberland usually never gets the worst of the weather making it an idea escape at any time of year, our cottages make an ideal base and we are more than happy to share a few of the places ‘not in the guide books’ but well worth a visit. It’s good for the soul.
